Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Photo Cleaner iOS app (“the app”, “we”) handles information. It applies to the app and to this website, photo.mashtool.com.

1. Photos and videos

The app asks for access to your photo library so it can help you review and delete photos and videos. With that permission, the app:

• Reads small previews and basic details of your photos and videos (such as date, size, dimensions, duration, file name, favourite status and album) to sort them into piles.
• Analyses previews on your device to detect near-duplicate, blurry and dark photos.
• Uses Apple's Vision framework, on your device, to judge face quality in near-duplicate groups so it can suggest the best shot to keep.
• Plays videos you choose to preview.

All of this happens locally on your iPhone. No photos, videos, previews or details about them are uploaded, transmitted or shared with us or anyone else.

2. Deleting items

The app only deletes items you choose, and every deletion is confirmed in an iOS system dialog. Deleted items are moved to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where iOS keeps them for 30 days before removing them permanently. If you use iCloud Photos, deletions sync to your other devices just as they would from the Photos app.

3. Data stored on your device

To work properly, the app keeps the following on your iPhone only:

• Scan results (for example image fingerprints and sharpness scores) so your library doesn't need to be re-scanned.
• The list of photos you chose to keep, so they don't appear again.
• Your progress (streak, XP, badges, statistics) and settings.

This data stays inside the app's private storage. You can clear it at any time in Settings within the app (Clear scan cache, Restore kept photos, Reset progress), and deleting the app removes it completely.

4. What we don't do

• No account or sign-in.
• No servers operated by us receive your data.
• No analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party SDKs that collect data.
• No selling or sharing of personal information.

5. Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. It is not sent from a server and contains no personal data. You can turn it off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.

6. Sharing

If you tap Share after a cleaning round, the app opens the standard iOS share sheet with a short text about how much space you freed. Nothing is shared unless you choose an app and send it yourself.

7. Children

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

8. This website

photo.mashtool.com is a static website hosted on Cloudflare. It uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Cloudflare may process standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
